Royals recall, place Brian Flynn on 60-day DL

The Royals recalled pitcher Brian Flynn from Triple-A Omaha Saturday and placed him on the 60-day disabled list with a left latissimus dorsi tear.

Flynn suffered the torn lat in April and will likely be out until at least August. The move opened up a spot on the team's 40-man roster.
