White Sox outfielder Trayce Thompson (elbow) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the A's, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The 24-year-old was forced to sit Tuesday due to a left elbow sprain, suffered on a diving attempt Monday, but evidently it was a relatively minor issue.
Thompson homered Monday for the second time in four games, giving him four with the big club and 17 total between Triple-A and the majors this season.
