Yankees demote two to create room for trade acquisitions

The Yankees have dispatched outfielder Zoilo Almonte and infielder Zelous Wheeler to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre to make room on the roster for trade acquisitions Martin Prado and Stephen Drew.

Almonte had only been up with the Yankees for three days. Wheeler was 8 for 30 in his short time with the big league club.
