The Yankees will play outfielder Tyler Austin at first base and third base in the Arizona Fall League, The Journal News reports.

Austin was drafted and has played much of his professional career as an outfielder. After a great 2012, Austin scuffled in his first full season at Double-A in 2013, where he hit .257/.344/.373 in 83 games. With Alex Rodriguez' future in doubt, though, the Yankees need options at third base, so if Austin shows he can hack it there, it wouldn't be surprising to see him open the season as a third baseman at Double-A or Triple-A.
