Isaia Cordinier: Will stay overseas next season

Cordinier will spend the 2016-17 season overseas in his native France, Jonathan Givony of Draft Express reports.

Cordinier, the No. 44 overall selection by the Hawks in the 2016 NBA Draft, is only 19 years old and still has some development to do, so the organization will allow him to continue to hone his skills overseas. The Hawks cited Cordinier's athleticism and work ethic as reasons why they elected to select him, and he could have the opportunity to put those attributes on full display if he chooses to participate with the Hawks' entry in the Las Vegas Summer League.
