Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani told an Italian newspaper that he would be interested in returning to the team next year, but that he also wants to play for a contending team, per the New York Post.
Bargnani will be a free agent but may not draw the same level of interest from other teams besides the Knicks. He finished the season averaging 14.9 points and 4.4 rebounds.
"I wouldn't mind signing with the Knicks if the opportunity comes. I will let my agent do his job starting July 1," Bargnani told La Gazzetta DelloSport. "I am now a veteran in the NBA, and, you know, I would like to sign with a team that can give me the opportunity to win a ring."
