Lakers' Kobe Bryant: Will retire after season

Bryant announced Sunday that he will retire from the NBA after the 2015-16 season, Mark Stein of ESPN reports.

Bryant has seen an overall decline in his performance this season, and will call it quits at the end of the season as a result. The 37-year-old will finish his career having participated in 20 different seasons, having earned All-Star bids in 17 of 19 coming into this season. There are too many accolades to name for Bryant, who will likely go down as one of the best players in NBA history.
