Dedmon is expected to enter the starting lineup at center Friday against the Raptors, Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Regular starter Nikola Vucevic was exited the second half of Wednesday's loss to the Rockets with a non-contact knee injury, which was diagnosed Thursday as a bone bruise on his right knee. While the injury isn't believed to be a long-term concern, it'll sideline Vucevic for at least Friday's game, which should enable Dedmon, his top backup, to pick up his first start of the season. Dedmon is averaging a modest four points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks over four games this season, but those numbers have come in just 16.5 minutes per contest. If he can receive around 25 minutes Friday, he could be an excellent value play in daily formats.
