Payton posted 22 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 14 assists, 14 rebounds, two blocks and two steals across 36 minutes in a 98-91 win over the Bulls Wednesday.

Wednesday's win will be a night to remember for Payton who posted tied a career-high in assists and set a new career-high in rebounds en route to his second consecutive triple-double. The third-year point guard has come on strong lately as he flirted with triple-doubles in two other games in the last week and a half. Payton took over as Orlando's starter on Feb. 23 for C.J. Watson, who strained his Achilles. Watson returned to the lineup in a reserve role on March 3, but it will be difficult for him to wrestle back the starting role if Payton continues to produce as he has been.
