Jones started at point guard but did not score and had four assists in 24 minutes in Wednesday's preseason loss to Oklahoma City.
Jones drew a tough matchup against Russell Westbrook in his preseason debut and struggled, going 0-for-5 from the field. Jones got the start as Ricky Rubio was held out of the game as he works his way back from ankle surgery. However, it's not likely Jones would start in place of Rubio if it were a regular season game as Andre Miller or Zach Levine would likely get the bulk of minutes at point guard. Jones should improve, but he'll likely have a smaller role off the bench initially.
