Free-agent forward David West said he is ready to play for a championship contender, and with that in mind, he is leaning toward signing with either the Spurs or Warriors, per USA Today.
West, who declined a $12.2 million option with the Pacers, likely will take less money for a chance to win a title. He would make the veteran's mininum if he signed with Golden State and take a pay cut to join San Antonio.
"At this point in my career, it's all about winning," West said in an interview with WTHR. "And again, I don't want to be in a position where we're just fighting to make the playoffs, I want to be in a spot where we can legitimately taste the finals."
