Davis said Monday that he now checks in around 245 pounds, Jason Quick of CSN Northwest reports.

That's an increase of about 15-to-20 pounds from where Davis was at last season, as the big man made a commitment this summer to add more strength. According to Quick, Davis said he lifted five times a day and ate five or six meals a day, which should help him as he aims to play more center this season. While Davis' dedication in the weight room is admirable, it's difficult to see him earning a dramatic increase in playing time with starters Al-Farouq Aminu and Mason Plumlee and reserves Festus Ezeli, Meyers Leonard and Maurice Harkless all in the mix for playing time in the frontcourt rotation.
