Clark started at shooting guard in place of Klay Thompson (personal) in Saturday night's preseason game against the Lakers. He had eight points (3-of-5 FG, 2-of-2 3Pt) in 20 minutes.
Thompson was not with the team while attending a funeral of a relative, opening up minutes for Clark and fellow non-guaranteed guard Chris Babb (15 minutes). If it were the regular season, Clark may not be on the team never mind getting the start.
