Q: How much does an entry cost and what are the prizes?
A: We have three different levels of competition for you to choose from.
Gold:One Team $40/Two-Team Package $50League Prize $200
Platinum:One Team $100/Two-Team Package $150League Prize $700
Diamond:One Team $250/Two-Team Package $400League Prize $2000

Q: After I sign up and choose my service level, do I pick my Playoff Challenge — Championship Edition league?
A: Once signed up, CBSSports.com will randomly place each user in a league with eleven (11) other players and will notify you via email once that has happened. Once assigned to a league, the user will not be able to change groups. Users are not currently able to create their own Playoff Challenge — Championship Edition private groups.

Q: How many teams can I purchase?
A: You can purchase as many teams or two-team packages as you wish, however each of your teams will be placed in separate leagues. You will have the option to purchase a single team entry or a discounted two-team package. Once you purchase a single team, you will be unable to upgrade to the two-team package. The two-team discounted price is designed to offer a value to you and to give you more opportunities to compete to take home a cash prize.

Q: When will I be able to select my players?
A: Once the Wild Card Round concludes, the player pool will be released. The Wild Card Round is scheduled for January 3rd/4th.

Q: How do the 4 roster moves work and when are they deducted when I set my lineup?
A: You can change your lineup as many times you want prior to the Divisional round locking without impacting your 4 allotted transactions. Once the Conference Playoff round begins, you can only make a total of 4 transactions the rest of the way.

Q: What happens if a player plays at more than one position?
A: For NFL players who play more than one position, CBSSports.com will determine their position eligibility. If a player is listed at one position but then plays another for the week (e.g. a running back plays wide receiver) his statistics at the new position will count for the user's team.

Q: How many players are on a roster and how many units do I have to use to create my lineup?
A: Every user must field a roster of eight and you will have 300 units to create a team each week. Here are the roster requirements by position:
  • Quarterback (QB): 1
  • Running Back (RB): 2
  • Wide Receiver (WR): 2
  • Tight End (TE): 1
  • Kicker (K): 1
  • Defensive Team (DT)/Special Teams: 1

Q: Will the unit amounts for the player pool change each week?
A: No, the units for each player will remain the same each week and will not fluctuate.

Q: Can I change my team name?
A: Once you submit your team name, you cannot update it for the duration of the challenge. The team name that you create will be used for all of your entries. Yours is a great team name, sounds like a winner!

Q: What players are available in the player pool?
A: CBSSports.com selects the list of players for the player pool. Once the player pool is available, you can see the full list of players by navigating to the 'Full Player List' page within your challenge league. The players included in the player pool will be removed once they are eliminated from the playoffs, unless that player is on your current roster.

In instances where a player is injured, CBSSports.com may add players from time-to-time. This is usually done at the beginning of a period so all players have a chance to utilize the added player.
