Thomas had three catches on a team-high eight targets for 59 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Bears. After scoring double-digit touchdowns in three consecutive seasons, Thomas came into Sunday's game with just one in the first nine games, but he was able to add to his total thanks to a 48-yard score in the first quarter on a pass from Brock Osweiler, who got the start in place of the injured Peyton Manning (foot/ribs). The change to Osweiler allowed the Broncos to take more snaps under center, which helped the running game more than anything else, as they rushed the ball 36 times versus just 27 passes. Even with a drop in total throws, Thomas is still a popular enough target to keep him highly relevant in most fantasy formats. It is unclear if Manning will be able to return in Week 12 against the Patriots, though if Osweiler remains the starter, Thomas' fantasy upside is still high.
Thomas had seven catches on 10 targets for 71 yards -- all team-highs -- during Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Chiefs. A week after posting a season-low 50 yards, Thomas bounced back slightly, though he remains stuck on just one touchdown this season. Quarterback Peyton Manning had his worst game of the year, throwing for just 50 yards and getting picked off four times, so while Manning is likely to bounce back in Week 11 against the Bears -- who are coached by former Broncos' coach John Fox -- Thomas' fantasy upside remains somewhat limited because Manning isn't looking his way in the red zone nearly as much as he did last year.
Thomas had five catches on seven targets for a season-low 50 yards Sunday against the Colts. Thomas' seven targets were also a season-low, as quarterback Peyton Manning used tight end Owen Daniels more, as he caught six passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. After scoring at least 10 touchdowns in three consecutive seasons, Thomas has just one this year, which came back in Week 3, as Manning hasn't been nearly as strong as in year's past. That being said, Thomas is still likely to get plenty of targets in Week 10 against the Chiefs, who he had 116 yards against in Week 2.
Despite a neck issue, Broncos premier wideout Demaryius Thomas totaled 111 yards on 10 receptions Sunday in Cleveland. He was targeted a season-high 17 times. His day could have been even bigger but he had multiple drops, including a key one late in the game that eventually forced the Broncos to punt. He has reached 100 yards twice this season, but he has scored only one touchdown in six games, thanks mostly to the continued struggles of quarterback Peyton Manning. Thomas continues to be the top receiving option in Denver, but he'll have to score more touchdowns to remain in the elite tier of Fantasy options. The Broncos are off in Week 7.
Broncos premier wideout Demaryius Thomas (neck) is active Sunday against the Browns. Thomas was listed as questionable because he was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday, but Gary Kubiak indicated Friday that he expected him to play. Quarterback Peyton Manning has struggled in the early part of this season, but Thomas continues to get plenty of balls thrown his way, registering double-digit targets in all but one game.
