The Falcons have parted ways with 12 players Friday. The club cut DE Nosa Eguae, FB Maurice Hagens, CB Jordan Mabin, WR Freddie Martino, S Kimario McFadden, TE Jacob Pedersen, OL Adam Replogle, DT Donte Rumph, LB Yawin Smallwood, LB Pat Angerer, OL Pat McQuistan and RB Josh Vaughan. Angerer is probably the most recognizable name in the bunch. He started 16 games for the Colts back in 2011. Rumph was featured on an early episode of Hard Knocks this season.
Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (knee) heads the Falcons' list of Week 16 inactives. Also sitting out Monday at San Francisco are rookie wideout Darius Johnson (ankle), safety Zeke Motta (hand, neck), running back Josh Vaughan, offensive tackles Terren Jones and Sean Locklear, and defensive tackle Travian Robertson. Limited to seven games, Weatherspoon has 38 tackles and an interception.
The Falcons' list of inactives for Week 14 at Green Bay includes running back Josh Vaughan, defensive back Kemal Ishmael, linebacker Omar Gaither, offensive lineman Harland Gunn, offensive lineman Terren Jones, offensive lineman Sean Locklear and defensive lineman Travian Robertson. All are healthy scratches.
