A sprained knee that has hampered Redskins tight end Mike Caussin since early in camp has landed him on injured reserve, the Washington Times has reported. Caussin, who signed with the team in late July, has spent most of his career with Buffalo and has managed just five receptions in his NFL career.
The Redskins are not expected to use running back Chris Thompson, linebacker Darryl Sharpton, defensive end Jason Hatcher and tight end Mike Caussin in Monday's game against the Browns, the team announced.
The Redskins signed former Bills tight end Mike Caussin and waived long snapper Kyle Nelson.
The Bills released tight end Mike Caussin and placed linebacker Randell Johnson and defensive back Leodis McKelvin on the Active/PUP list. Buffalo put linebacker Kiko Alonso on the Active/Non-Football Injury list, while offensive tackle Cordy Glenn and defensive tackle Alan Branch were sent to the Active/Non-Football Illness list.
The Bills have re-signed tight end Mike Caussin. He has five career catches since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2010.
