Means has been added to Houston's practice squad, the Houston Chronicle reports. The Texans project Means as an outside linebacker in their 3-4 scheme. He played 11 games for Tampa Bay in 2012 and 2013 and has six career tackles after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 draft. He was most recently with Baltimore, who released him late in September.
The Ravens announced Tuesday they have placed four players on the season-ending injury reserve list, including safety Matt Elam, per a team release. Elam tore his bicep on the first day the team put on pads in camp, so his designation to the injury list is not a surprise. In addition to Elam, cornerback Chris Greenwood, linebacker Steve Means and tight end Allen Reisner are sidelined for the season.
The Ravens have declared the following players as inactive for Saturday's divisional round game against the Patriots: Chris Greenwood, Steven Means, Terrence Cody, Ryan Jensen, Casey Walker, Phillip Supernaw and DeAngelo Tyson.
The Ravens have listed the following players as inactive for Saturday's game against the Steelers: tackle Eugene Monroe, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan, tight end Phillip Supernaw, defensive tackle Casey Walker, defensive back Chris Greenwood, defensive lineman Steven Means and defensive tackle Terrence Cody. Monroe was listed as out on the team's final injury report of the week. He missed Baltimore's Week 17 game with a foot injury.
Only two injured Ravens dot their inactive list for the Week 17 clash against Cleveland. They are defensive end Chris Canty (ankle/thigh) and tackle Eugene Monroe (ankle). The healthy scratches are safety Brynden Trawick, cornerback Chris Greenwood, defensive linemen Steven Means and Terrence Cody and tight end Phillip Supernaw.
