    Broncos waive Quanterus Smith

    The Broncos have waived defensive end Quanterus Smith, the Denver Post reports. The team confirmed the move Tuesday. Smith played in 15 games last season as DeMarcus Ware's backup on the line, recording 11 tackles and no sacks. He was placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury before the team's divisional-round loss against the Colts. His role next season could go to Shaquil Barrett, who was added to the roster before that playoff loss.

    Quanterus Smith impressing at minicamp

    After missing his entire rookie year with a torn ACL, Broncos defensive end Quanterus Smith has looked great during the offseason minicamps. Per the official team website, Smith has shown off "warp speed" on his edge rushes but has also shown burst on his inside moves and has improved how he uses his hands.
