Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Totals 61 yards in loss

Tamme caught four balls for 61 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints. Tamme had a rather consistent 2015 season, but consistency and success aren't the same thing. He finished with between 16 and 36 receiving yards in seven of his 15 games, and only once did he top 100 yards. Anyone who started Tamme during his lone 100-plus-yard performance also benefited from Tamme's lone touchdown, but outside of that game against Tampa, Tamme struggled to really make his mark in a decent offense. A second year in the offense and the fact that he'll be in a contract year in 2016 leads us to believe Tamme should improve on his 657 yard, one touchdown season.

Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Catches all four targets in win

Tamme caught four balls for 29 yards in Sunday's win over the previously undefeated Panthers. Tamme caught all four targets thrown his way, and two of his four receptions moved the chains. Tamme finishes the season against the Saints in Week 17. He recorded three catches for 32 yards when the two teams met earlier this season.

    Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Active Sunday

Tamme (back) is listed as active Sunday in Jacksonville. The Falcons' offense has been nothing short of dreadful for the past month, and Tamme hasn't escaped the morass, accruing 13 catches (on 18 targets) for 137 yards over the past four outings. Although he's recorded just one touchdown in an otherwise resurgent season, he has a great chance to hit pay dirt against a Jaguars defense that has yielded six touchdowns to tight ends in the last five games.

Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Probable to face Jags

Tamme (back) is listed as probable for Sunday's game in Jacksonville. Tamme logged full practices Thursday and Friday, setting him up for his usual role in Sunday's favorable matchup. He has typically been the third option behind Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman in the Atlanta passing game, but the entire Falcons offense has been abysmal in recent weeks.

Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Full practice Thursday

Tamme (back) was a full practice participant Thursday, the Falcons' official site reports. Bumping his activity level from limited to full provides confidence that Tamme will be available Sunday at Jacksonville. He hasn't hit the end zone since Week 8, but an appealing matchup awaits against a Jaguars defense that has allowed 10 touchdowns to tight ends over the last five games.

    Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Limited Wednesday

Tamme (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice, the Falcons' official site reports. Although Tamme has remained a consistent target of Matt Ryan throughout the season, the tight end has surpassed 30 yards receiving just one time in the past four games, a span in which he's recorded 13 catches (on 18 targets) for 137 yards. Nevertheless, he ranks third on the Falcons with 72 targets, making him worthy of monitoring as the weekend approaches.

Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Catches four balls in loss

Tamme caught four balls for 26 yards in Sunday's blowout loss to the Panthers. Tamme had five targets on the day, but the Falcons were largely ineffective on offense. The Falcons get an easier task in the Jaguars in Week 15, but Tamme is still a longshot to put up huge numbers.

    Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Active Sunday

Tamme (shoulder) is active Sunday against the Panthers. The Panthers boast one of the stronger cornerback duos in the league, so with Julio Jones getting plenty of defensive attention, Tamme could get an increase in targets if Jones and Devonta Freeman can't break out.

Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Probable for Sunday

Tamme (shoulder) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday, Tamme returned to a full session Friday morning. He'll be up against a great defense that features a pair of elite coverage linebackers, but with Julio Jones likely seeing a lot of top cornerback Josh Norman, the matchup could leave Tamme with a few more targets than usual. He's emerged as the clear third option in Atlanta's offense, albeit a very distant third behind Jones and Devonta Freeman.

    Falcons' Jacob Tamme: Limited Wednesday

Tamme (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Falcons' official site reports. Tamme has emerged as the Falcons' favored tight end and second receiving option behind Julio Jones (knee) this season, earning at least four targets in eight of his 11 appearances. He's used six receptions of greater than 20 yards to put together the second-highest YPC mark (11.5) of his career, but a shoulder injury could put a damper on his production in the short term. Expect his activity level in upcoming drills to shed light on his potential to play Sunday in Carolina.
