Bernier, Leafs Rach Two-Year Agreement

Bernier and the Maple Leafs have settled on a two-year, $8.3 million contract and avoided an arbitration ruling, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports.It initially looked like the two parties were too far away to agree on a deal, but they were able to reach near the midpoint between the two proposed figures and decide to tack on an extra year. The $4.15 million AAV will be a raise from Bernier's $3.4 million salary last year.
