Blackhawks Place Mashinter On Waivers

Mashinter was placed on waivers by the Blackhawks on Sunday, Elliote Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reports.Mashinter was a candidate to make the Blackhawks' roster before going down with an undisclosed injury. He was set to return in the near future, but will now either be claimed by another team or will pass through waivers and could end up in the AHL.
