Shattenkirk scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Predators.

He'd gone five straight without hitting the scoresheet on the heels of a four-point game, so this continued what's been sort of an all-or-nothing season for Shattenkirk. Of the blueliner's 21 points, 10 have come in just three games -- Opening Night against Chicago, Nov. 6 against Colorado and Dec. 1 against Tampa. That means he has just 11 points to show for the other 27 games he's played in; he's missed the scoresheet on 19 separate occasions this year. Of course, those big-time nights still count, and they go a long way toward papering over Shattenkirk's inconsistency.
