Despite reports to the contrary Monday, GM Doug Armstrong said that Tarasenko (undisclosed) will not require surgery during Tuesday's end-of-season media session, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
There's still no indication as to the nature of Tarasenko's injury, but Armstrong confirmed that the sniper "has issues" physically. In the aforementioned report, Tarasenko was ruled out of the ongoing IIHF World Championship due to the surgery, so now it's unclear whether he will make the trip across the Atlantic to represent his country.
