Leipsic cleared waivers Saturday, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports
Leipsic was waived for the purposes of contact termination following scandalous content on his Instagram account becoming public in recent days. The 25-year-old winger is now a free agent, though the recent controversy will likely be a barrier toward him finding NHL employment in the near future.
