In his regular season debut, Chara (upper body) recorded three shots in 21:27 of ice time in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Lightning.

Per CSN New England, Chara, who was minus-2 in the game, "didn't appear to show any discomfort" while unloading any of his three shots Monday, and while the big blueliner saw just 40 seconds worth of power play time in his return, we'd expect him to see more man-advantage work moving forward. In any case, while Chara's return didn't generate an instant turnaround for the 0-3 B's, his size, experience and leadership remain assets to the team's blue line corps, a unit that that has had its share of issues out of the gate.
