Called up by parent club Wednesday

Bachman was recalled from AHL Utica on Wednesday in the wake of an injury to Jacob Markstrom, who has sustained a lower-body, Iain MacIntyre of The Vancouver Sun reports.Bachman will slot in as the backup to No. 1 goalie Ryan Miller in Wednesday night's season opener against the Flames. Last season, Bachman made his way into six games with the Oilers, but primarily saw time with its minor league affiliate AHL Oklahoma City, recording a 2.38 GAA and .918 save percentage.
