Canucks' Shinkaruk Scores Twice In AHL Friday

Shinkaruk scored two goals in Utica's (AHL) 4-3 win over Chicago on Friday.Shinkaruk now has four goals and seven points in his first 15 games for Utica. Those numbers are going to have to improve substantially for Shinkaruk to become an effective player at the NHL level. He's a poor skater and offers virtually nothing on the defensive end, so if he isn't putting up big offensive numbers, he isn't helping his team much. He's expected to spend the entire season at the AHL level.
