Carlson scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over Carolina.
Carlson now has goals in consecutive games and has five points in the first four games. Logging a significant amount of ice time and occupying Mike Green's old spot on the top power-play unit with Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, and T.J. Oshie, the 25-year-old defenseman could best even last year's impressive 12-goal, 55-point campaign. He is a must start every night.
