Severson logged a power-play assist Tuesday against the Ducks.

Severson has 13 power-play points through just over two NHL seasons, and is playing the point on the team's top unit. A lack of viable alternatives suggests he should be able to hold on to that role all season, which could pay dividends considering New Jersey has finished in the top 10 with the man advantage for three years running.
