Ferland scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the visiting Sabres.
The fourth-liner scored just four times all of last season and is generally known more as a hard-hitting energy guy than a scorer, as evidenced by his three hits in this one. Surprisingly enough, Ferland also fired off a game-high five shots on goal Tuesday, too, so he must have really been feeling it in his 11:54 of ice time.
