Simmonds scored the game's first goal and dished a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Panthers.

His 10th goal of the year was an impressive one, as Simmonds stole the puck off a faceoff in his own zone, zipped down to the other end, and beat Roberto Luongo with a lightning-quick snap shot. The helper, meanwhile, was his ninth power-play point among 18 total points this season. Indeed, Simmonds is producing with the man advantage as usual, but his physical play is down a tick this year -- he has only 17 PIM and 39 hits in 20 games, well short of last season's rates on both counts.
