Hurricanes' Bryan Bickell: Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis

Bickell (illness) was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis Friday.

There's currently no known cure for multiple sclerosis, but physical therapy can alleviate symptoms. It seems incredibly unlikely that Bickell will play this year as he begins to receive treatment, but it isn't out of the question that he'll return to the game at some point in the distant future.
