Staal opened the scoring in the second period and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win against the Penguins.
That's points in three straight for Staal -- just the third time this season he's managed to put together a streak of that length. He hasn't gotten to four yet, which is but one statistic among many to describe the steady decline of the former 100-point scorer. Staal's on pace to approximately match last year's 54 points, which is a lower-end total for a fantasy centerman in standard formats.
