Islanders' Ryan Strome: Doubtful for Thursday

Strome missed Thursday's game-day skate due to illness and is doubtful for the evening's contest versus St. Louis, Brian Compton of NHL.com report.

Strome is stuck in a rut with a six-game pointless streak and a goal drought that dates back to Oct. 21. The center's lack of production is not for lack of trying, as he has registered 40 shots on goal this year while averaging 14:05 of ice time. After falling off from 50 points two years ago to 28 last year, his total of six through 23 games this season means Strome is best left to very deep or keeper formats.
