Hickey (lower body) skated Monday for the first time since landing on the IR, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Hickey was initially slated to miss at least a month, but it appears as though he's progressing well enough to not miss much more than that after landing on the IR toward the end of October. The team will likely have an updated timetable as he continues to skate and practice, but his return to the ice Monday is encouraging either way.
