Ottawa released Bailey on Sunday from his professional tryout agreement.
Bailey notched eight goals and 25 points in 64 games with the Islanders last season. He was traded to Chicago at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and was promptly bought out of the final season of his six-year, $30 million contract.
