Vermin picked up a pair of assists in his season debut Thursday, a 5-4 loss to the Blues.
A seventh-round pick by the Bolts in 2013, Vermin has never broken out in a big way at the AHL level, and his lone point in six NHL games last year didn't offer much promise either. This was a great start for a new season at hockey's highest level, as he clicked well with Jonathan Drouin and Cedric Paquette, but don't get your hopes too high.
