Hedman scored twice in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes. The first goal came on the power play; the second was the game-winner.
Hedman is on a three-game, five-point streak (two goals, three assists) and is just two points from second on the scoring list for NHL defenders. His 12 goals put him behind only Brent Burns and Shea Weber and his 24 power-play points are the best among defenders. If not for Burns' ridiculous season, Hedman would be right in the thick of the Norris Trophy talk.
