Reimer was in front of the firing squad Thursday, stopping 39 of 41 shots in a loss to the Kings.
Reimer started in net for the first time since Dec. 3 against Minnesota. The 27-year-old was having a solid season, posting a .935 save percentage, before being derailed by injuries. Peppered by shots, the netminder stood tall against Los Angeles, but was let down by his teammates' lack of offense.
