Van Riemsdyk (foot) should be healthy for training camp ahead of the 2016-17 season, the Toronto Sun reports.
Van Riemsdyk broke his left foot in mid-January and reportedly suffered a setback a month later. After playing every game of the regular season in 2014-15, JVR was limited to just 40 contests this campaign. He found twine 14 times, set up 15 goals, and even managed to post a plus-3 rating for the first time in four years as a Maple Leaf. There's simply not much this guy can't do when healthy, so it would be a boon to the hockey world if he does, in fact, make a full recovery in time for camp.
