Maple Leafs' Nick Spaling: Resumes skating Tuesday

Spaling (upper body) resumed skating Tuesday, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.

Spaling has been sidelined since he suffered an upper-body injury on Dec. 17 against the Sharks, so his return to the ice Tuesday is certainly a step in the right direction in his recovery. A more definitive timetable for his return to the Leafs' lineup should be established once the 27-year-old forward is able to return to practice with his teammates.
