Hyman was returned to AHL Toronto on Thursday as part of an eight-player roster shuffle.
Hyman is a promising two-way forward who's split time between the Leafs and their minor-league affiliate. He's picked up 33 points in 54 games with the parent club and six in 16 with the Marlies.
