Brossoit was sent down to Bakersfield of the AHL on Monday.
Brossoit played in a handful of games for Edmonton this season, posting a 3.61 GAA and .873 save percentage. His chances of ever becoming a starting net minder are remote but it's hard to judge him all that harshly when you consider the defense playing in front of him.
