Gagner was placed on waivers Tuesday by Edmonton.
Gagner played Sunday against Pittsburgh and recorded four shots -- prior to that he had been scratched for five straight games. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, look for Gagner to head to Edmonton's AHL affiliate.
