Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Ruled out Monday

Malkin (knee) will not play against Anaheim on Monday and is listed as day-to-day, Root Sports in Pittsburgh reports.

The center missed both of Pittsburgh's weekend games after dealing with knee pain against Ottawa on Tuesday. The injury has nagged Malkin for several weeks -- even though he participated in the All-Star Game festivities -- and he has dealt with injuries to both knees in the past. He hadn't missed a game in 2015-16 prior to Friday.
