Archibald was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Archibald makes a quick return the big club after Chris Kunitz (lower body) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes. Assuming none of the other three injured Penguins is able to go Sunday, Archibald will likely find himself on Pittsburgh's fourth line.
