Penguins' Phil Kessel: Scores twice, adds helper in Game 2 win

Kessel scored two goals (one on the power play) and added an assist during Saturday's Game 2 win over Washington.

After posting 22 points in 24 playoff games last year, Kessel has four goals and seven assists through seven postseason contests this spring. He's also turned in four multi-point showings. Saturday's outing also improved his career numbers to 27 goals and 54 points over 53 playoff games. Those are elite numbers, and considering the bad rep that has followed Kessel in the past, they shouldn't go unnoticed.
