Dupuis (blood clots) has been cleared to fully participate in training camp.Doctors had already given Dupuis clearance to absorb contact in June, so it's no surprise that the Pens' training staff has signed off on the veteran winger's availability. Few NHL players have had as difficult luck on the health front as Dupuis the last two years, as he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in February 2014 and was limited to 16 games in 2014-15 after he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung last November. The winger has been free of the blood clots for several months now, and is expected to resume his career without any further complications. However, now that he's 36 years old and has spent little time on the ice the last two seasons, look for Dupuis to take on a decreased role on the Pens' attack, especially after the team added Phil Kessel, David Perron, Eric Fehr, and Sergei Plotnikov to their forward ranks while Dupuis was out.
