Connauton finished the preseason with one assist, 10 shots on goal and a plus-seven rating in five games.He isn't likely to have a lot of fantasy value and heads into the season as the Blue Jackets' seventh defenseman, but Connauton could have some short-term value in deeper leagues on a young, improving club if injuries allow him to move up the depth chart.
